Question: How do you make pink flowers stand out against a pink background!?
Im painting these pink flowers against a sunset thats very pink and its too late to go back :/ I want to make the flowers stand out against the pink!. What can I do!? Add yellow!? Add blue!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If changing the background is not an option then try adding dimension to your pink flowers adding touches of yellow, orange, red and white to highlight and contour the pink flowers!. Look at your pink flowers closely and I am sure you will see that they are not flat pink!. Instead you will find at least three tonal shades of color!. Work with those colors to create depth and help separate them from your background!. Hope this helps!.!.have fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lighten the edges of the flowers and darken the sky around the flowers!.
If you do both you only need to do minimal changes to really make them pop out from the painting without 'compromising' the structural integrity!.

Be sure to smudge!. It does not need to be that visible as long as it is there it will work just fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Make the sky a shade cooler so it recedes, and then warm up the flower !. You could also add a slight outline around the flower in a different value and hue to give it punchWww@QuestionHome@Com
