It might be easier to do that with long exposures in low light an a friend walking around in wearing white!.

Or you can take some shots at night with a strong spot light on smoke against a black background!. Then superimpose it on what ever you like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My favourite method is double exposure!. I don't know if your camera can do that, but you just take a picture with the camera on a tripod, then another without advancing the frame!. In the first, your subject; in the second, empty background!. They person will appear transparent!. Most digital cameras do not do that, I believe!. Some film cameras have a guard against it, but a lot of them allow for it either manually or by means of a multiple exposure switch!.

If you want to make someone transparent in an image manipulator, you're going to need the information for the background!. Because obviously it isn't in the image already!. You could take a photo with your subject then one without and merge them somehow, though I've never done this so I'm not sure how!. You could get a mildly blueish white brush and give it maybe 20% opacity and spray over your subject!. It'd give them an eerie glow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Here is one I took!. As fhotoace said, I used a long exposure!. Of course the camera had to be on a tripod and I used a remote shutter release!. I also had to use a neutral density filter to avoid overexposure!. I believe this was a 15 second exposure at f11 at ISO 100 with the ND filter!. The girl wore a flowing white dress that I searched a long time for on the internet!. She began walking as I began the exposure!. I experimented with several different exposure times before hitting on one that I liked!.

I feel you should try to do a real photo such as this rather than being concerned with just trying to do some Photoshop trickery!. The REAL THING always looks better!. This shot has NO editing at all other than a black and white conversion!. You will always feel much better when you create an actual photo rather than having to rely on a computer to try to do it for you!.
