Question: What Is This Small Antique Gas Burner For!?
http://i277!.photobucket!.com/albums/kk80/!.!.!.

It's only about a foot long, I can't post another pic (can I!?) but it's clear that the threaded pipe at end fit into a gas source!. And the extended pipe inside the case has a number of small holes for the flames to come out through the escaping gas!.

But --- what was it used for!? Too small for heat!. the extension may have been to hold something for melting - like to melt lead!? I ask that as I did inherit along with this a bunch of small lead printer's blocks from last century!. Anyone who can give a positive ID, hopefully with a link that will show the same or similar!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is that a turtle on the bottom!?! If so, it must be for domestic use rather than for use in someone's work!. Those two prongs are intriguing!.!.!.

Edit!.!.!.

I found it!. It is a curling iron heater!!

The curling iron rests on top with the two "teeth" of the curling iron resting on the two prongs!. I have no idea how you would use this without burning your hand!

Edit: OK, I get it, the "teeth" are actually the handles!. Still pretty lethal though!.!.!.!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have never seen that one before, but it looks like an antique, possibly for cooking an animal!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
