Question: I want to know the name of the (I believe) French artist who draws little cartoon sketches of a couple in love!?

The artist is French I think!.!.!.the little sketches that I have seen are mostly black and white!. The man has black hair in a short bob and the lady has longer hair!. The sketches are always romantic and remind me of the "love is!.!.!." cartoons!.
Any help on who this artist might be would be great!.
(I used to have a film which he had made!.!.!.something about going round the world, Venice and Paris were def in it)
