These photos were taken with a DSLR and a technique called HDRI

http://hdri!.wordpress!.com/

Simply three or more photos are taken of the same scene (using a tripod mounted DSLR or better digital camera)!.

Each exposure is slightly different than the next!. A sample shot would be one OE, one NE and one UE exposure would be shot, then using a special program, the three image files are combined to produce the HDRI image!. Photoshop CS2 and newer have a tool for combining HDRI image files!.

The key is to use the shutter speed to control the exposures!. Adjusting the aperture causes shifts in depth of field, especially when the OE or UE exposers are greater than one stopWww@QuestionHome@Com

It starts with good composition of the image, a decent quality camera, and some luck!.

The Aperture setting will give you the extreme depth of field, but will require a longer exposure, thus you will need a tripod!. Polarizing filters can help to enhance the highlights in the sky!. Photo shop can help, but the image has to be there before it can be enhanced!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

3 exposure and photoshop trick!.

but if you are interested in just creating a mirror image especially when there is no still water around then use a clean mirror, held just under the lens and adjust angle to desired effectWww@QuestionHome@Com

the answer was explained in the comments of the two pics you linkedWww@QuestionHome@Com
