Kodak's plastic 35mm film canisters (black body with gray lid) have worked for me!.

Folger's plastic coffee containers, larger or small sizes - they seem to be the most light tight!. Blacken the inside with flat black paint!.

Metal 55 gallon drum, not too beat up, with a light-tight lid!. Gotta get any nasty chemicals originally stored in it cleaned out good, though!. Paint the inside flat black to knock out stray reflections!. You can put a pinhole in the side or the lid depending on how you plan on placing/orienting the drum!.

Metal "cookie" tins!. It may take some effort to make a light tight seal around the lid with these!. Again, needs a coat of flat black paint on the inside before use!.

Here's a resource for ideas, if you haven't found it already!.!.!.

I have a pattern for creating one that is a box and the nice part of that is when you slide the front in it is designed with the edges that push against the films edge and holds it flat!. BUT!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.
My first ever (which I still own) and have built many since was with a Quaker Oatmean canister!. The round, cardboard type!.
Hope this helps!.

a tin can painted black or a smallish box painted black (inside obviously), to cover it I think i used wide black electrical tape!. Easy to put your pin hole into and easy to stick and secure to the tinWww@QuestionHome@Com

Cat food can with a re-sealable plastic lid!. Spray paint the lid inside and out with black paint!. Easy to make!. Easy to load!. 35mm film fits perfectly inside!
