Question: How do you make smooth lines and curves when inking!?

It can be tricky!. even when you are tracing a pencil line, if you pause you will create little dots along your line!. I usually make a few practice strokes on scratch paper to get my hand used to making a smooth motion!. Then go in and make my marks on my work when I feel comfortable with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i always do it freehand, and so do a lot of other people!. But in the past, i've also used graphite paper to transfer the line/curve i've drawn on another substrate onto the final substrate, and then trace it!.!.!.its alot easier to get it straight when you're tracing back over it!. And i used rulers and french curves to draw those!.

but if you're referring to the comic book style of inking, i have never had any kind of comic book inking experience, but i know a lot of my friends use Micron pens to get the edges straight by using a ruler and french curves!.!.!.and fill in from there with a brush!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
