Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I would keep them out of direct sunlight!. Colors have the possibility to fade if exposed to sunlight!. Try to keep the paintings away from heat sources, like a stove, over and or fireplace!. Avoid a bathroom or kitchen as humidity and fumes can damage them!. On the other hand, Subzero temperatures can crack paint, so keeping them in a place at room temperature is best!.

If you are interested in improving the value of your work, you could try to include an envelope of information on what inspired the painting, a short biography on yourself, a photo of you holding the painting, and how to take care of it!. Tell the commissioner and or collector to keep this information with your painting as it may effect the value of it 50 years down the road!.
also, if someone wishes to have it cleaned and or restored they could easily find information about what materials it was created with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
