i finished my national diploma in june and got triple distinction for my final grades but it was for graphic design i did my NCFE level2 for art and design also!. if you are creative like you say you will succeed but you do have to believe in yourself and make sure you don't fall behind with your work!. always annotate your work and keep everything you do because it shows how you have developed your ideas!. im 35 and if i can do it im sure you can!. you have think positive and learn to accept constructive criticism as a beneficial aid!.hope this gives you a bit of encouragement!. would love for you to let me know when you get your first of many distinctions!. good luckxWww@QuestionHome@Com

Hi, i know EXACTLY what you're talking about!. I didn't find my personal style until my last year of design school!. Finding your style isn't just something you "get"!. It's something you gradually discover! my style is changing all the time!.

I guess what really helped me find mine was in part to the school I went to (the art institute of pittsburgh)!. they started us out by just having us taking someone else's design (in the professional field) we liked and duplicating it!. That way you really get a feel of the limitations of the computer programs or traditional mediums, and how to get from point A to point B, and this also helps you find how to work with the current design trends!. After doing that for a quarter or two, you start thinking like - hey, i can decide to do THIS and not what the artist originally did!. you start branching out from the artists that truly inspire you into your own thing!. And you need to produce a wide range of artwork to really find your style through what you've been creating, rather than just saying "this is my style" and try to create that way, which is rather in a backwards fashion!.

also, since i do both illustration and design work, i've discovered I have very 2 distinct, and perhaps opposite styles for the two - and that's okay!Www@QuestionHome@Com
