Keep an interest in the subject for the time being, try and think about composition, getting a good layout in each photograph, getting the focus right, maybe start playing around with the photos on your computer, editting the contrast and colour etc!. you can do this in photo editing software which will probably come with the camera you buy!.

as for buying a camera, fujifilm are a good one to look at, any of the models from £89 to £120 are all good, I got a Finepix model and its served me well for a small compact camera that you will be looking at now!.

As I said, keep an interest in the subject, keep taking pictures and you will see yourself improve over time, document them in a file etc!.
Then when the time comes to do your GCSE's, take art, it will be a great step to take towards studying photography at university!.
Once your GCSE's are over, there are several options to take!. You could carry on to do A-levels, including photography or art, and then do a 1year foundation degree in art and design!. Or go straight onto a 2 year foundation course in art and design after your GCSE's!.

The foundation course is pretty vital if you want to get onto a photography course at university, most universities look for this qualification, but you will learn more about this later, its too much to think about right now!

When this time comes around, hopefully you will have enough money to purchase your very first SLR camera!. This is essential to becoming a photographer, and producing good photographs!. with this you will learn how to control a camera manually, the aperture, focusing, exposure and shutter speed, everything!.!.!.!.!. these all change the way the camera behaves and how good, or bad, the picture looks, and allows you to be very creative!

Whatever you choose, good luck!

personally, I think you should start taking photographs!. my advice would be only photograph when you feel inspired or photograph what inspires you!. school will help alot in a creative sense and also you will learn the basics!. i would also suggest to start with film, this will give you an apportunity to be more in control and once you have the knowledge with film!.!.!. you can do anything basically,
-I just recently got my third film camera and it only cost me $150

Age doesn't determine how good you are!.!.!. look at Annafur's work, she's about your age and she is great!

The key thing is to PRACTICE! Like mama says, "Practive makes perfect!"

Take some classes and read about it!. In order to really be successful, you have to be willing to challenge yourself!. Don't ever say, "That's too hard!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
