Question: What do you think of my art and drawings!.!.!.!?
I'm currently on a foundation course for art and design, and aspire to go into Illustration at Uni next year!. Here is some of my work which was completed before starting this course!. Do you think Illustration is the right direction for me to head in!?

What do you think of my work, in general!?

Some digital and traditional work on my youtube, and more traditional work and my better pencil drawings on deviantart!.

I think its amazing that you use Paint to make drawings! I would never have thought that it would be possible to create such a good drawing from that program!.
And your drawing of the punk on Deviant art is incredible impressive! It is beautiful!. Just by looking at those few drawings, I'm sure if you wanted to go straight into being a freelance illustrator/artist you would be able to get work!. But if you really want to go to Uni, illustration would probably be a good choice for you because you'd be able to flourish with your drawings!.!.!. and you'll learn more about the industry and how to become professional!.
I'd suggest you build a professional website already!. It will really impress the interviewers at the Uni you apply to!. And once you get there they will expect you to build one anyway!. (They have told us - 2nd year illustration students to get websites pronto!) Though it is good you are on youtube and deviant art already, when you send off CVs for work experience or to get jobs, your own professional website will look fantastic!.
Have you been to some Illustration course open days at a few Unis!? And do you have a few prospectuses!? (Send off for as many as you want, because they're all free!.!.!.) You could think about doing a Fine Art course specializing in drawing or painting if you wanted!.!.!. then you would be less restricted by briefs!. It depends on if you like the challenge of working to briefs - they can be very exciting!
While you're doing your foundation year you might also want to enter some industry competitions!.!.!. There's the D&AD competition (though 2008 entries are not being called for quite yet, but will be in a couple of months!.) There's a competition with a deadline this coming friday if you can work quickly! http://www!.ameliasmagazine!.com/news!.php For a magazine!.
And one more tip if you decide to go to Uni - visit a lot of art galleries beforehand that you can talk about in the interview!. There is one amazing exhibition I went to recently, that I think you'd love because of the drawing style, imagination and just how big they were reminds me of your work! The artist is called Charles Avery, and its at the Parasol Unit on Wharf road, about a 15 minute walk from Angel station!. http://www!.artrabbit!.com/events/event/65!.!.!.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll be very successful with all that talent!Www@QuestionHome@Com
