No reason why not, unless you believe that there should be a separate Yahoo Answers category for digital photograph!. The problem is that many of the questions and concerns of, both digital and film photography are shared by both types of equipment!.

Regarding the "snide" tone of your second question, these are EXACTLY the kind of questions I can ignore without stressing about it!. Kind of like the "How do I make a black and white picture with one part color!?" questions!. My eyes scan right over the question without slowing down, looking for the kind of question I'd LIKE to answer!.

I have even given up my campaign to educate the masses that "photoshop" is NOT a verb!. And, when it comes to questions about whether or not photography is an "art," I only have to look at your avatar and wonder why someone who is listed as a "Top Contributor" in photography, can't be more creative than to use one of the Yahoo, generic avatars!. I'm usually quite vocal in defending this profession as "artistic," but your icon casts doubt on my wisdom for choosing this stance!.

But that IS, just, my humble opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nope!. It's not real photography!. Those questions belong in the MySpace category or in Software!.

But yeah, like Beatrix said!.!.!.just take a picture in a bathroom mirror!.!.!.hold the camera at a 45 degree angle and turn on the flash and you're already there!

I think it's hilarious too how they all think that "Photoshop" is a generic term as in "please photoshop my pic!." Or when they say "oh kewl pic!.!.!.what photoshop did you use!." They just can't understand that Adobe Photoshop is a proper name for a specific program!. But most of them can't spell either, so I guess we can't ask too much of them!.

LOL!.!.!.pink camera!. I had to laugh at that!. Sorry Sam, but I wouldn't be caught dead with a pink camera :)

Edit:
Actually, I think the Photography catagory should be divided into two sub-catories: "REAL photography" and "kewl myspace pics!." Let them post all the selective color and Photoshop questions in the "kewl myspace pics" catagory!. That way, there will be less clutter for people who want to learn about real photography and who can actually spell!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You are right that these questions probably belong in the software section or whatever it may be called, but I can see how people might put them here!. Yahoo! probably includes this section on their list of suggestions when someone writes such a question!.

As you know, I will defend pink cameras to the death!. Well, to a certain degree of exertion anyway!. I paid an extra thousand dollars for mine and it was well worth it!.

well firstly they use photshop as a generic name for a graphic programme!.!.!. photoshop costs hundreds and hundreds of pounds!.!.!. and little miss vain, wouldnt know how to use it if it was given to them free!.!.!.

at the end of the day its always been my belief that if you dont know something, ask someone who does!.!.

so, yes, i accept them a legitimate questions on photography, and when they show their gawky over exposed cartoon images, i honestly tell em what i think!.!.!.

who me!? oh, i teach photography DTP and image manipulation, and ive been behind a lens for about 35 yearsWww@QuestionHome@Com

LOL

If you have already taken a self portrait in front of a mirror making a fish face with the flash on, there's no need to photoshop!

And yes, pink cameras work better, but only if it's covered in sparkles!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't understand your question!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
