Question: What is the best colour to glaze a sea scape with!?
The main colours in it are french ultramarine and titanium white!. There is also foliage in the picture!. Could I use the same glaze for the foliage that I use for the sea or should I change it!? I often paint but this will be my first time to glaze and I haven't much of a clue about it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, you can use french marine blue and white as glazes, it really depends on the way you want it to effect the colour, the look and the picture!. you need to decide!. what overall effect do you want it to have/make over the painting!? work on it!.
if i could see your painting i would give my opinion; otherwise i dont think i really can!.

in stead of color, think about the overall feel!.!.!. is it warm!? do you want to cool it off!? is it too cold!? do you think it should warmer!? is it too dark!?!.!. is it too light!? is it too blue!?!.!. a glaze can be used for many reasons!.!.!.build depth,,,reinforce the mood of the painting,,,antiquing!.!.!.etc!. the more you layer it the better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
