okay screw what everybody else that tried to help you!.!.!.I have been doing photography since high school!. Plus I have been skateboarding for over 14 years!. Put them together you Skatography!. Depening on the camera that you are getting (I prefer Canon), put on either Program(P) or really use Time Value(TV)!. On TV set it to 1/1000 or 2000 and ISO 400!. As for P put on ISO 400 and f-stop 1/200!. I almost forgot, set it on continuous shooting for both settings!. Never follow the dude skating, your pictures will turn out blurry!. stay at the side of the obstacle that he is about to skate and slowly move your waist to which ever they guy is going!. This will give you a lot less blur!. If you want some more tips just email me from my profile or go to my myspace http://www!.myspace!.com/f8tality89Www@QuestionHome@Com

To be on the safe side, put your camera on Sport Mode!. And just have your friend skate like he would normally!. If he wants to do tricks then so be it!. Just keep shooting!. Shoot straight on, shoot from the side, from behind, shoot from below!.

Move your body and the camera!. Don't stand in one place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Program mode or Sport mode and use fill flash if you have it!.

If you have rear curtain sync (a Nikon)!.!.!. even better!.

I agree with the above and if you have a wide angle lens that would be great to use on skate photos!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
