Question: To photographers who take pictures of people they don't know!. !?
Do you stop and ask permission first!? Do you just take their picture without asking (has anyone ever gotten mad) Just wondering because I have been playing around with photography and I just want to know how you go about taking other people's pictures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You have to have them sign a release form if you intend to use any personally identifiable photo commercially!. Although I wouldn't ask them beforehand because it would void the point of getting people in their natural environment!. I may ask afterwards if it's all right with them, depending on the photo!. It helps if you have quite a chunky camera and a big lens, like a Nikon D90/D80 ;) They will think your a press photographer or a professional of some sort and most times they either pose or just continue what they were doing (:

But i do ask sometimes if i would like someone to pose in a certain way to create a unique photo!.

Just be friendly and an approachable photographer and u should be fine (:Www@QuestionHome@Com
