with gimp, open color photo,
duplicate layer, desaturate layer,
erase items,

to add new color to b&w, open image,
desaturate to b&w,
create new layer, fill in colors, adjust layer mode and opacity,

When in photoshop or a different photo editor!. You make a duplicate layer of the main picture and put over the top of the first one!. You then make the top layer black and white!. Next, you delete the portion of the picture you want to be in color, so that the black and white part of the picture is deleted!. The color picture underneath then shows up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
