Question: Can I use paint on my Mac Book to cover a stain!? and if what kind is the safest to use!?
I have an ugly stain near the touch mouse thingy, where you put your right hand to type!.!. I spilled a bit of nail polish remover on it and now that area is of a different color and is shiny!.!. I want to paint some vintage pattern on it ( my Mac Book is white), but I need to know if it is safe and if the paint will not look dirty after a while or will not come of in peaces!. And of course what kind of paint would be the best for this!. Please answer only if you really know what you are talking about (this is a very expensive "canvas" to paint on)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the problem were mine, I would do the following:

Buy a roll of clear shelf lining plastic!. Cut a piece large enough to cover the stain!. Prime it with gesso!. Paint your design--I would use acrylics for the convenience (oil paints if greater luminosity was sought!. Allow to dry!. Cut a second piece of shelf lining, remove the backing paper, and apply it smoothly over your painted design!. With a very sharp knife, cut the design profile!. Remove the lower backing paper and apply your self-adhesive design to cover your stain!.

The beauty of this solution is that it is totally reversible, and you can change designs as the spirit moves you!. I've done this with pansies all over a VW beetle--its really fun to watch people watch the "PAN Z BUG"Www@QuestionHome@Com

probably as long as you keep it on the outside and not in he insideWww@QuestionHome@Com
