A famous example is would be the painted illustrations from the mid-10th century in what is known as the Paris Psalter, since they are located in the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris!. It consists of 14 miniature paintings taken from the lives of Old Testament figures: David,, Moses, Jonah etc!. The artist, as is customary in the MIddle Ages is not known!.
