Question: Photography lighting help!?
I have been doing photography for a while now, just having fun messing around with contrast and stuff!. I want to start experimenting with different kinds of lighting both inside and outside!. I love the look of when everything in the background is dark, but the subject is well lit- and outlined for outside pictures!.

Should I get a studio kit!? I just don't know what kind to get!.
Umbrellas!?

OH! And I have Photoshop elements and am considering getting Photoshop CS3!. Is it any better than elements!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Check out strobist!.com for lighting!. Do Lighting 101 and you'll be soooo set!.

An yeah, get photoshop, but wait a little bit because CS4 is coming out relatively soon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

CS3 has so much more you can do than just basic editing!. If you want to me mode advanced, go for it!.

As for lighting equipment!. Checkout www!.samys!.com They have good prices on kits you can order online!. Plus they have excellent customer service answering your e-mails!. You can start with two lights and two umbrellas!. Ask about on location battery sources for outdoors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To learn it is best to start with "hot" lights!. A kit with 2 light and stands is about $125!.00!. You will also need a photographic umbrella!. Light bulbs should be 250 watt with a light temperature of 3200 degrees!. I suggest hot lights to start because you can see what is happening with the light and shadows, with strobe, you don't know until you after the photo is viewed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
