1 - love the idea behind it! - but it doesnt follow anything i tend to look at the one focused rock! and the rest of it get's lost!
most great photo's have almost an invisiable line starting from how you read left to right! it helps draw the viewer through the photo!. if i follow the line you have i stop at the feet!

2!. has a slight following but you could crop off the right side and get a better effect of that!
the black and white is cool - i personally like color! but over all I would try to capture more shadows with the sun at it's level it's a great time to do so! You get a little of this effect on the road in the left side!. and I dont like the fence - at all! it makes it look a bit trashy!.!. I do love how the sun almost sits in the tree on the left!! very nice!

3!. again i don't like the fence but over all this one has a great line it does pull you throught the hole shot! the fense helps this but you know how i feel about it! lol

the cropping of that photo that there is ideal!
you have shadows it's even on each side with light and dark! and that part of your shot i just LOVE! Great job!

4!. i really don't like this one but that's personal! i do think you would get a better mood on this if it were in black and white! I see the feeling in this one so that is GREAT! it flows well! very nice even though i don't like it!

well hope you enjoyed me critiqueing you!
i think you need to practice over all but your doing great!!
btw i'm not a photographer i like to "Take pictures" and after 200 i get a good one!
but i'm more of a painter/artist!

There is nothing at all wrong with taking photos "into the sun," or backlit!. Backlighting can provide a wonderful atmosphere to a photo, and you have full creative control to either expose for the backlighting and silhouette the subject, or expose for the subject and "blow out" the backlighting!. Totally up to you!. Don't just use the sun, use lamps, flashes, stadium lights, whatever you can find and take some fun backlit portraits!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
