Question: How can you pinpoint where your inspiration comes from!?

For a course I'm doing I've been asked to trace what inspires and connects all my pieces!. http://jennystarr!.deviantart!.com/gallery!.!.!. Pin-pointing your Inspiration might be hard to do but lets try this,!.!.!.!.!.!.can you communicate your artwork simply by words alone!?!.!.!.!.!.wouldn't that make you a poet!?!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Your inspiration stems form your inability to fully communicate your thoughts in words!. I've been an artist professionally for 33 years and it took me nearly as long to understand why I'm an artist at all!. The things I want to own and the only things I can really own are my memories or Thoughts which end up as paintings or drawings!. Now, I'm a traditional artist and I paint for a living ( Or I used to, I'm going blind now) and I have to paint for my market which means that I end up doing portraits and landscapes or historical renderings or whatever the market has me do,!.!.!.!.!.!.what inspires me is my "inability to speak eloquently and suitably about the subject I am portraying"!.!.!.!.!.!.and that's my answer,!.!.!.!.!.I hope this helps you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
