Question: Photos for my English project, what do you think of them!?

So for my English project, I have to take photos representing certain things we've read or done!. Here are three I've done so far!. Please read the descriptions and tell me what you think of them!

Your photos are tremendous!. WOW! I would say they looked so professionally done!. Images are great!. However!.!.!.!.

Apple a day: doesn't really work because, the apple is sick (being with a thermometer in it - plus, avoid product placement, I know it's only for class and it's okay, but as an art piece, you might want to think about that)!. Sort of confusing on the message!. Maybe you don't want to show your apple being sick, showing the thermometer in it!. Maybe, without it, and your apple is just plainly smiling - but with Halloween coming, might get a different message with the carvings!. The glare is not that noticeable - great lighting, good light and shadow!.

Flag: Yes, there seems to be something missing!. Although, what I see is that the country (flag representation) is tired, and in retirement - given it's on an old rocking chair!. I agree to one of the comment on the site, the newness of the flag seems to be also a factor - with the oldness of the other things!. What do you think is a representation of happiness to you!? I'm thinking you're trying to get away from cliche by not draping it on a person or people being happy!. Draping it on item like a fancy car or materialist item, would sort of signify the capitalism of it rather than happiness!. "Pursuit of Happiness" hmmm!.!.!.!. This is somewhat of a hard task!. But with your great creativity, I think you can do it!.

Dream catcher: Confusing, too!. You have religion clearly focused with the dream catcher!. My first impression is about the affect of religion on Native Americans (the negativity of it, mostly)!. Good concept, but maybe a good book on Native Americans if that is your purpose!.

I can sense you're trying to stay away from literalness of your images, but maybe not going too much on the other side - for your purpose on those assignments!.

You have great techniques with your photography, and have a great eyes on photography!. Your lighting are just so good!. You're more than 3/4 away from there, if not, you're there already!. I'm really impressed with your images!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love love love the third one, it's really beautiful and I think it fits well with what it's representing!.

The first one works really well too - I like the crooked smile on the apple - it makes it look fun and whimsical and like it doesn't take itself too seriously!.

The only one I think could use some improvement is the second!. Just taking a photo of a draped flag seems a bit obvious and dull!. I'm not sure what else to put in there but something is needed to make the picture more original I think!. It's still a very pretty photo though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My favorite is the apple a day keeps the doctor away!. I dont think you should re-do it all, the glare gives it character!.

The last one had me so confused!. I think as long as you can put a caption on it then you should be fine though!.

try to avoid carving into the apple it looks sick just by being cut into!. I do however like the way that you are using the thermometer as representation!. Keep the apple whole and try to use the angle of the camera to show that the apple is 'higher' than the 'doctor'Www@QuestionHome@Com
