Maybe for rhythm take a shot of a onion , like cut it open and take a shot of the rings(that would be legato rhythm) !. Legato rhythm is like lines in the sand or like a snake!. There is also Staccato rhythm which is like Mountain edges , sharp edges and abrupt lines !.

Balance , i would take a shot of two same sized peppers(or any other veggie fruit) and have them a couple inches apart !. So it's kinda like symmetry !. Another easy thing you can take of that has balance is a flower which naturally has radial balance!.

Proportion - You can take a shot of someone holding something small like a little cherry or a small flower , as long as the item looks really small in the persons hands !.

Emphasis - You can create emphasis by having a focal point or isolation !. For example take a shot of a bright red apple behind a green background !. Or gather a bunch of apples and have a bunch of red ones and one green one!.

Unity - Maybe take a shot of a lot of regular cups mugs and put them in a straight line , that will create unity because the circle shape of the rim of the cup is repeated !.

Hope i helped :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Rhythm:
Some street musicians!.

Balance:
A Libra statue or tightrope walker!.

Proportion:
A lack thereof!. Id est, something not correctly proportioned!.

Variety:
All different types of the same thing!.

Emphasis:
Something starkly contrasting the rest of the image!.

Unity:
Symbiotic creatures in action!.

As requested, they are examples!. As always, examples should not be carried out to the utmost end!. Meaning you should come up with completely different ideas at least in most cases!. Because your own ideas are always better ideas than someone else's!. The photographs will be far more inspired that way!. An uninspired photo almost always fails regardless of whether all the 'rules' of photography are followed in its creation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your instructor has assigned a rather sophisticated project for you!. My guess is that they either showed you some examples of what they want!.
