Question: Photo editing question: how do i flood fill or color in EVERYTHING outside of the my selected box!?
Normally when you select a part or portion of an image, this dotted line appears and everything INSIDE that selection is edited but I want to do the opposite where everything inside the selection is left alone and everything on the outside is flood filled blackWww@QuestionHome@Com

Use the inverse option under your selection menu!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Select Inverse!.

That reverses the selection you made and selects the opposite!.

I've been using photoshop for nearly 15 years!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
