Even though I haven't e-mailed you, this sounds like one that I've seen many times!.

When you stare at something for a while, then blink and stare at the wall!.!.!. you're going to see an "afterimage" on the wall (likely a negative)!.

This is called "persistence of vision" or "after image!." It comes from the fact that, despite what you may think, your eyes are actually very slow!. The image from the paper basically sets your eyes (and your brain) in a way that can take several seconds to dissipate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
