analogous colours are next to each other on the colour wheel ie!. red and orange!. Generally they form harmonious combinations when placed next to each other!. Complementary colours are opposite from each other on the colour wheel and compete for attention when placed next to each other!. ie!. blue and orange, red and green, yellow and purple!. Warm colours are ones that have more red/yellow colour to them, and cool ones are more blue/green!. Though to make it really confusing you can have warm blues and cool reds!. To help try to think whether it's a colour you'd be more likely to see/associate with sun (warm) or shade (cool)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
