Position:Home>Visual Arts> I have to make a pinata for my spanish class?Question: I have to make a pinata for my spanish class!? ok im going to spare the details as to why i have to make one!. but i REALLY need help with it! im just going to make a bulldog head as the pinata, im not going to bother with the body!. but could someone please give me some ideas as to how i can make the face and ears please!?!?!? im about to go to the store to by whatever supplies i may need!.!.!.!.thanx soooo much for anyones help! any ideas at all for the pinata would be VERY much appreciated!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: This is a huge task!. You have to be super artistic to pull off a bulldog that will look like a bull dog!. First, find a picture of a bull dog to model!. And, pinatas are made out of paper mache!. So I would take a balloon and blow up a balloon and paper mache over it for the head!. Don't worry about it deflating!. The paper mache should hold shape if you put on enough layers!. Then I would paper mache on like a little butter dish or a small cottage cheese dish on for the muzzle!. Then just add layers of paper mache to made the droopy cheeks!. For the ears, you may just have to fashion them out of lumps of paper mache!. I am lost there!. Then you just add the tissue paper on for the color of the eyes and the face!. Good luck! Www@QuestionHome@Com You could make a papier mache base for the head!. Blow up a balloon and cover it with Vaseline !.!. Then - tear up lots of newspaper into strips or smallish pieces and gradually cover the ballon in a layer of newspaper - gluing it into place as you go (PVA glue or wallpaper paste will be fine) You will need several layers (4 or 5) and let each layer dry before adding another!. Add the features - cardboard ears and a muzzle could be a ball of newspaper help in place with glued strips of newspaper!. Then either cover the whole thing in white paper (and glue!) or paint it white as a base coat and then finish with the final colours you want!. Pop the balloon - attach a string - fill with goodies!. Job done :)Www@QuestionHome@Com Supplies, Lots of newspaper cut into width strips about one inch wide!.Mostly just a bucket of water with watered down Elmer's glue will do!. The best way i would say to make a head of a bull Dog from scratch is start with a balloon, and some long clown balloons!. The ones they make into crazy stuff with!. Wrap the clown balloons around the circle balloon!. Until desired size and shape of ears!. Now just take the strips of newspaper and one by one dunk them into the water and Elmer's glue!. and just keep adding the paper onto the balloons until really you have enough to cover all the balloons!. Let sit for a few days until hardened!. Then after its dried up!. pop the balloons!. Paint as wanted!. and fill with candy!.
