It really depends on your skills, and the range of colors you have of each medium!.

I wouldn't trust markers to draw something that is supposed to be realistic!. This is because you can't really make color transitions with markers, and once you make a mistake, you can't work back into it!.
Plus, the only colors you have are the only ones you can use, so the colors would be totally solid!.

If you have a broad range of colors of colored pencils, that could make a really natural looking piece!. With pencils, you can adjust the tones, shades, and gradients easily!. It's also erasable, so you can undo your mistakes pretty easily!.

I would suggest you to use paint!. With just red, blue, yellow, white and black paints, you can mix a whole spectrum of colors!. That means you can make your own colors, and a wide variety of color always makes a realistic piece!. also, you can use impasto gel, modeling compound, and other substances to alter the texture!.

That all depends on YOUR skills with the tools, as well as the range of colours you have!.

Many professional artists like Copic/Touch markers, but these are often expensive and to get the colour layout you want might take practice!.

Paints, again, it depends on your skills with the medium!. How good are you at mixing colours to produce a natural tone!?

The same goes for pencil crayons!.

The question isn't 'which is best for realistic drawings'!.
The question is 'which can I best manipulate in order to produce a realistic drawing'!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Prismacolor pencils are the easiest, but anyone who is talented can make realistic drawings with any of those mediums!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
