DO NOT LET ANYONE PUT YOU DOWN!. you clearly have a passion for art and who has the right to say what good art is!. Come on, people have become famous for paintings with one single lines, that could be good in some peoples eyes!. Everyone has different tastes!. If someone doesn't like your work then it doesn't mean someone else wont!. Look at all the famous artists who were once told they would never make it!. Practice the things your bad at!. Practice is the key!. If you have enough energy and enthusiasm you can do anything!. And remember, DONT let anyone put you down!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I hate to say it -- since there are a few things you might possibly do better -- but what you seem to be lacking most is confidence!. If you don't have drawing paper and a sketchbook, get them!. Do drawings, yes, but in your sketchbook make notes!. Draw not just preliminary compositions you will work over -- and copy -- for drawings, but draw individual elements!. Get your hands on various media, gouache, oil sticks, conte, charcoal, and just make marks on indivdual pages!. So yes, more practice is useful!. But try confidence!. Do what you want to draw, and you will get "better" at it!. Frankly, I can't see much difference between your art and the art you like Mostly it's the difference between excellent and very good!. So don't despair!. Despair is a sin against the Holy Spirit!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think some of the effect you are missing is from the materials your using!. When you look at something that you like also look at what materials they used for example was watercolors, color pencils, or something else!. Over all I think it just comes down to practice!. I started a few months ago really trying to improve and with a lot of practice I think I have!. also I have found it really cheap and helpful to hit my local library for art books on how to draw and also to look at works in detail that I like!.
