Question: Copy and paste versus freehand!?
today in school we were supposed to create a logo for the teacher to put on his website!. It was worth a fair amount of marks!. I went home and spent 3-4 hours on this logo using my tablet laptop!. The next day I email it to the teacher!. Later in the day he gives us who gets the marks and who doesnt!. The person who got the marks went onto microsoft word, then to clipart and copy and pasted a guitar then put words across it using wordart and she won!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did it free hand, and it is better than hers!. Should I explain to the teacher how I should get half marks or is that being a jerk ratting out on the person that copy and pasted!?!?!? please help

I would suggest you note to the teacher in a mature manner that you spent 3-4 hours on the logo and while it wasn't chosen and you are OK with that, you feel your grade was a bit lacking for the effort you put into it!. Don't make it an issue of being better than the person who used clipart - make it an issue of your hard work deserving a second look!. Maybe point out that you didn't take the easy way out by using already existing clipart!. If this is a creative class, and believe me I've been through a lot of art courses, then this would not even be acceptable in a college level art class!. Again, don't make it a big deal about losing or the person who won using clipart, simply focus on obtaining the higher mark for YOUR creation!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
