Question: Water colors painting question - how do you mix paint colors!?
the little book that came with my kit isn't really clear about mixing paints!. Do you dip the brush in clean water, THEN the paint from the tube!? Or do you actually pour a little water into the palate and dip the brush into the paint!.

then mixing colors, do I choose a palate with water and dip the brush into each of the paints!? It's confusing but I do like experimenting!. It's very fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

My teacher always says from water to paint to paper!. You can use watercolor right out of the tubes or you can put them into a palate!. You need some sort of palate to mix colors on!. It can be a plastic plate or it can be an actual palate!. When you change to get another color you do clean the brush, so you do not contaminate that color!. To change color I go from my previous color to the cleaning water and then to the fresh water!.
I hope that helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
