Can you paint rubber on shoes?

Question: Can you paint rubber on shoes!?

I've seen people online customize shoes!. I want to know if you can paint the rubber trim of the shoe!. Lets say a white trim to black!. What could I use to achieve this and not have the color run off in case it rains!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
