Adobe Illustrator: converting image type from a ".ai" to a bitmap or j

Question: Adobe Illustrator: converting image type from a "!.ai" to a bitmap or jpeg!?!? !?

i created a collage using illustrator and want to use it as the background for my pc but i can't because the image is an illustrator art work!. my question is does anyone know how to convert it from an artwork to a jpeg or bitmap image!?!?

The first person gave you a good response, but another thing to know is you are trying to go from vector image to raster/pixel image so the first thing you have to do is rasterize your Illustrator image!. That converts it to pixels, and you should be able to save as a !.jpg file!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
