Question: Does anyone know if Infinity is present in Art such as drawings or paintings!?
I need to do a Math project on Infinity and I was thinking of seeing if Infinity was related to Art in things such as Drawings or Paintings!. Anyone have any idea or any useful sites!? If not, does anyone have any clever project ideas such as this one!? For example, another person in my class is going to see if there are an infinite amount of stars!. Anything at all!? I need to come up with a topic by tonight [10/7/08] and anything will be greatly appreciated! Links are appreciated as well! Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi!. There is something called "the point of infinity" or "the vanishing point" in classical perspective drawings and paintings!. Wikipedia's article on drawn perspective includes sections about points of infinity: http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Perspective!.!.!.

One thing to remember, though, is that any way of representing perspective, a three dimensional phenomenon, on a two dimensional surface, is going to be inherently flawed!. Artists and mathematicians have struggled with this for centuries!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
