I am currently working on my degree in photography!.!.!. this is my 4th year in college,im not near done with my degree, thats only because i've been only taking 1-3 classes a semester the past few years ( i currently work full time, and go to school at night) however!.!.!.!. You will need a photography degree!. it should be like in the visual arts department at the universities!.!.!. if they have one!.!. some schools dont have photography, like one of the answeres said!.!.!. so watch out, and make sure that the universites you're looking into has it!.
For a bachelor degree, it takes about 4 years, ( if you dont have to retake any courses, and if you take the 12-16 hours that you're supposed to a semester!. ) You dont have to go to an art school!.!.!. i know that the university that i'll be attentding to fiinish up my degree is well known for their art department, so i'd make sure that you choose a college that has a strong art department!.
For a Masters degree, im really not sure how long it takes!.!.!. possibly an additional 2 years!? not really sure aobut that one!.!.
good luck! hope this helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Some schools don't have a photography program, so when you look around be sure to check that your school will have them!. You can ask for information and they usually can mail you info!. Each school varies!. An art school can be harder to get into and you will more likely need a portfolio of your best work to show them!.

A bachelor degree usually takes 4 years, and a masters is after that and usually another 2 years!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The degree will not guarantee the employ but it will command the pay!.

Having a BA in Art (four year degree) certainly puts you ahead in the employment line unless I got hired while you were attending your university!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

technically dont need a degreeWww@QuestionHome@Com
