"Best" can be a matter of opinion!. Currently CS3 is the most featured, though Adobe is soon to release CS4, though I do not believe it is available for the Mac as of yet!.

I think if most people would be honest with themselves, they would find Elements will do more than they ever need!.

Between Photoshop and Aperture, I would pick Photoshop!. I also use a Mac, but have just never seen that Aperture is really worth it's cost, plus having more hard drive space taken up with yet more software!. I prefer one program that can "do it all" such as Photoshop!.

One thing that I've been recommending to people lately is using Photoshop Elements for editing, but also look at Adobe Lightroom!.!.!.

Lightroom does a lot of the things that people traditionally looked at Photoshop to do!. It is built for photographers and photography!.

I think the combo of Elements and Lightroom will take you far into "pro" type of photography and post production!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
