Question: How could i improve the posing for large group shots like this!?

For a large grouping such as this you should have had the kids kneeling in the first row, that would bring everyone in closer!. Then the adults should not stand flat on to the camera, but at a slight angle, one foot forward, as one does for wedding groups!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tell them you intend to take several shots, in quick succession and to hold the pose---this so that when a bird flies by or some one sneezes or the little kid TURNS HER HEAD such imperfections can be photo-shopped out of one of them!. also should the group be even larger several panned shots would likewise allow some customized framing to include background/surroundings as well as compensation-capable raw material!.------------a family group shot couyld be more intersting by taking it on the porch of a family heirloom house, surrounding grandpa'a old model T, or some other such artifact, or include the wedding party etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Instead of the front row in a straight line, have them curving towards the camera,

but to really improve it

-Get the males to dress up as females and vice versa
-massive food fight!
- throw them a beach ball and watch them go wild
-Get everyone to play dead with cups of koolaid in the hands like its another Jones Town group suicide
-Mass moonie!
- if it was just adults everyone could simply drop their pants

thats all I can think of for now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

aw that's cute but yeah, you did good with height but get some people to sit at the front and others to stand at the sides so they are standing more in a semi circle than a line!. also the angle is a bit too straight on- like a school photo!. hope that is helpful! you did a good job!. do you mean like how could the picture look better!?!? well anyways if you line the people up in height order then make the tallest people go in the middle, then it looks more ordered!.!. at the minute it just looks a bit jumbled xWww@QuestionHome@Com

i think the traditional class pictures look best

standing on ones side but with ur face facing the camera
