Close ups of common household items!. This way you see them from a completely different perspective!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

When shooting macro a lot of people do bugs and butterflies and flowers!. There's nothing wrong with it!. It's just been over-done!.

So I'm wondering how macro can you go!? How close-up will your macro lens let you get!?

You could think about common objects not commonly seen close up!. Anything from the pupil of an eye, the shadows cast on skin by human hair from a light source (imagine peering through a hair jungle, which would look great in b&w), placing a small object in the folds of a shag carpet and capturing it at floor level through the carpet fibers, stains on clothing viewed in extreme closeup through the woven cloth, the partial inner workings of a watch or clock, drops of water actually caught dripping and splattering from a dripping faucet onto undefined objects or outside dripping onto a rock or stone, sunlight refracted in a drop of water or filtered through a window screen, a closeup of the inner dusty workings of an old television set or radio, the inside of a water pipe or any small long tube, any odd or unusual patterns of tree bark or the raised grains of a weathered board (perhaps rotted through), perhaps a partial close-up of a carving or statue showing carved grains in the marble, a close-up of an isolated view of an animal's paw, ear, etc!. (cat or dog or roo or whatever you're got to work with), the grains of an unpainted canvas (backside) or a painted canvas (backside) where the paint has bleed through or words peaking through the slightly hidden pages or a partially oponed book!.

The point is, use you imagination, my friend!. You've got the natural eye of a surrealist!. Look at objects through your lens in the same surreal vision you apply to your paintings!. Everything is surreal from some point of view!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everything looks good in macro!.!.!.!.!.

From pink fench posts to spider webs wrapping up flies

The uglier the better in macro i find seems to work, avoid the usual suspects like flowers and shoot the ugly that most never would/do
