Bright reds rarely fail to do the trick!. That's why traffic lights are red for stop!. But it all might depend on what background color you choose!. Think complementary colors:
Orange is going to stand out a lot on a blue background!.
Yellow will stand out against purple!.
Etc!. Colors across from each other on the color wheel tend to pop when placed together!. The link in the sources is to a color wheel!.

PS: you don't have to use a saturated color for the background!. If you're using a bright orange type, then have a subtle or pastel like blue for the background!. If you over saturate your poster the colors will give people a headache and they wont want to look at it anymore!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
