I think Red Dog already said this!.

You want real TV glare noise and lines!?

Take a few photos of your still photo on a TV set!.

Some will come out fine!.

Sadly, my esteemed YA colleague Go Speed Racer Go is either misguided on this technique or hasn't actually tried it!. And anyone who answers you with a vague "Google for it dummy" should be ignored IMHO!.

Hey, with digital cameras it is easy to take lots of pictures of a TV screen and choose the one you want!. Nothing to lose, and lots of time to save ;)

Good luck, HighpointerWww@QuestionHome@Com

This is a great question!.

One of the things my Photoshop guru tells me is:

"Before you even open a file, ask yourself if you can do this easier without Photoshop!."

This guy is a top graphic artist and has been using Photoshop since it first came out for the Mac in about 1990!.

He would say "put your image on a CD, pop it in your DVD player, and shoot an old tube TV screen with a digital camera, with reflected room lamps, screen glare, the bulging glass screen with all its distortions and 425 vertical lines!."!.

I know, I know, it sounds cheesy!. But this guy is known for his professionalism and practicality!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

try looking up "tv scan lines tutorial" or "tv scanlines tutorial photoshop" or something like that!.

if you try to take a picture of a tv (like that other guy said), it will come out ugly because you will get that line that keeps scrolling down the tv screen when viewed in a digital camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey I have been shooting news shots off my regular old tube TV with a digital camera for years!. I almost never get any ugly shots or bars!. I use a CHEAP home-made tripod (see link) in a dark room!. Works almost all the time!. Don't know why, but it works for me!. I'll tell ya this, ask a graphics or photography question and suddenly everyone is a know-it-all and a little kooky, so just see what works for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
