Joann's fabric to use as a backdrop?

Question: Joann's fabric to use as a backdrop!?

I bought their costume style satin material fabric and I'm going to use it as a backdrop for photography!. Do people do this and is this as good as buying a regular backdrop!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not sure about satin material; like the other user said it's too reflective!. You need to buy muslin fabric!.

The good news is yes, you can make it for cheap and get a backdrop that is as good as a regular backdrop!.

i wouldnt just hang any material up to use as a backdrop, but i have taken a plain black or plain white backdrop and bought material from walmart to hang in the corners just to kind of dress it up a bit!. i have found that hanging just regular material up looks kind of funny unless you put a solid color behind it!. The problem with satin is that it is very shiny!. I find that it works well as a drapery for portraits!.!.!. but not so much as a plain background!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
