Start by researching the The Temple of Hephaestus and Athena Ergane, also known as the Hephaisteion or Theseion !. Decide how big you want the model to be!. What materials are you familiar with!.

If I were making it I would lean towards a plaque in high fire clay or a small model with columns 1/2 inch in diameter - (the clay I like can be 1/2 inch or so without being hollow

I like the idea of ceramics for Athena Ergane was the patron-goddess of pottery

If you are not familiar with ceramics and have access to a kiln You could check some ceramic classes and ask if you could do this as a project

!.You could make it in plaster of parisWww@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on the size of the model and how permanent you want it to be!.For an architectural model that you could move around you could use mounting card,or even cardboard boxes, with plaster over the top for texture and carved detail!.also look at the making of Doll's houses!.The Dolls House Emporium in the UK has a good web site!.There are constructional quality card and polystyrene materials that are used for professional models, while wood is still a good material!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
