Question: Where can I get photos printed!?
I'm not technically a professional photographer!. I haven't taken photography courses, I don't own a high quality SLR camera, I don't have a business, etc!. But I have been able to take photographs with my basic digital camera and photoshop them!.!.!. and they come out looking like professional quality photographs!.

I tried sending them to Wal-Mart's photo center to get printed up, but they won't print them because they claim that they are professional photos!. They demand a copyright release from the photographer, etc, and I can't give them one because they're mine (and they don't believe me)!.

I do not have the printing capabilities at home, nor can I afford them!. So I need to find somewhere I can get my photos done in high quality printing in 5x7s and 8x10s, etc!. Any ideas or suggestions!?

Thank you! Www@QuestionHome@Com

I use MPIX and have had great results with them but if there is copyright data in the EXIF file they will not print them without a release either Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know why Walmart will give you any trouble!. You could also go to their website!. Upload the photos, have them print the photos!. You can picked them up or have the photos delivered to you!.
Walgreens, Kmart, CVS, Sams Club they all do prints!. I am sure there is more I can't think of!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you still have them on your memory card then you can show that to them and prove that they are your's!.

also try Walgreens or CVS!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am sorry to tell you that places like Walmart, Walgreens, CVS or any professional photo printer have access to the EXIF data on each image!. If you are trying to print a photo which has a copyright on it and you do not have a release, they will not print it!. You will not be able to see or change the copyright info as it is embedded during the processing stage!.

For example, if I do a portrait shoot for someone, I copyright all the images in Photoshop!. I am the only person who can remove this copyright!. If they want to print the images themselves, I give them a signed copyright release letter!.

Walmart would not refuse to print them for you if they were not copyright protected!. Sorry! Kudos to the Walmart staff for protecting and respecting Photographers copyright!.
