Question: Do you take more than one shot of whatever you are shooting!?
I am an amateur photographer and havew a tendency to take 3-5 pictures of the same thing!.

And was wondering!.!.!.!.!.do you take more than on picture of the same object you shot!?

So that if a case came up where someone steals your picture you can have more than one to prove it is yours!?

(for copyright purposes)

Just want to know if anyone else does this!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, you will find many photographers take several shots of the same thing
1) Incase the photo has come out wrong
2) To pick the best photo when they come out

and just like you said, someone could possibly want to steal it :P

I will take multiple shots of the same thing but from different angles and vantage points not just the same shot over and over and over!. For copyright purposes if it's digital you will have the original file if it's film you will have the slide or negative so I don't see how another shot would help!. Sometimes I will only take one shot because in that shot I know that I have captured what I was after when I was drawn to the subject in the first place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I usually don't take the exact same shot!. I'll zoom in or zoom out, I'll bracket to take a slightly different exposure - a little more light + a little less!.

I'll try to change the orientation, like someone else mentioned, too!. Try some vertical, some horizontal!.

It's cheap to do with digital!. You may surprise yourself when you look at the photos - something you added as an afterthought might be the best in the bunch!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I will often try a shot in portrait orientation and then one in landscape orientation!. This is especially true when shooting trees!. I also change the camera position to change the composition!. Most of my tree shots are with the camera tripod mounted and perfectly level!. I made my own leveler so it works in portrait or landscape orientation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I take more then one shot of the subject, but in different angles and for no other reason!. Whats the point in taking a picture a couple times the same exact angle when you should always keep the original photo and a back up of it!. So in case someone steals it, you will always have it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I take multiples, but not for the purpose of proving I took a photo!. When photo-editing, I often catch one tiny problem in the photo that would bug me to no end!. So to avoid that, I take multiples and pull out the best shot!.

The information stored on the photo (camera used, date taken, F-stop setting, aperture setting) should be proof enough!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most photographers, myself included, will take many shots of the same image to insure correct exposure and facial expressions!. I usually "bracket" my shots by one stop + and - !. In addition usually only 1 out of 3 are useable in many cases, especially at weddings!.

i do!.
i take tons!.
but not the exact angle and everything!.
i may mess with the settings on the camera and move around to try to get the best and, odds are, you will have a couple great shots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I don't do it for copyright purposes!.!.!. but I certainly do take more than one shot of the same subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
