Question: Artists' Question, For all the drawers out there!!?
For you artists and drawers, What's your favorite drawing style!? And What drawing style do you like thats very unique and you dont think a lot of people have heard of!? I personally just like sketching and coloring!. I don't do a lot of painting and once I went to this art class that they like teach you how to paint and use pastels but you can't do your own thing, you have to copy someone elses work from a calander or magazine or something!. I really love to draw (and sketch), though I'm not a real artist with drawings out in galleries!. I mostly sketch bizarre pictures from my mind such as a twisted tree with birds of all kinds and shapes hanging from it or the sun and sky falling into the ocean!. It really inspires me and I usually feel proud of myself afterwards!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
I LOVE to draw with colored pencils, everyone says mine looks like pastels - which i used to use, but i dont like how they smudge away!. I usually do paintings - watercolor is cool, but i only really use acrylic paint, which i sometimes use like watercolors!. I've done some carving in wood, and to make rubber stamps!. pen an ink is cool to!. I was told i did really well with charcoal, but again i dont like the smudging thing haha!. I like alot of different things, and am very open to new things!. i do sketch but i love to make full colored completed pieces!. I do anywhere from realistic to anime-ish drawings, and i mostly do people because i enjoy that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
It is very common for an artist to try and better his/her skills by copying old masters!. If you go to the Louve or the Prado, it is not unusual to see art students with their sketchbooks copying the work of Rembrant or Goya!. I personally like sketching/drawing from life!. Nothing cements an individual's features, or a place, into my memory like drawing them/it live!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
I, myself, absolutely love the different kinds of arts out there, personally though, my favorite is the anime style!. I love how they can all look so different, yet they really are just the same style in the end!. It all comes down to that! I practice so much every day, so I hope I can become even better soon!. Just look at your subject and scribble down everything your eye settles on,use a large soft pencil,water soluble ones are good for this!.When the paper gets a bit full you can draw with a rubber,blend with a wet brush and always whiten out with emulsion paint!.A more positive approach is to use colours rather than white!.

It's not that it's especially unique!. It just seems like he's in harmony with himself and what he's all about, and this style is natural to him!. I like it!.
But, eventually I hope my own natural style will be my fave!. ^_^
