Question: Does anyone have tips for painting a photo with acrylics!? !?

I have started painting with acrylics just for fun, and I want to be able to paint landscapes, or pictures of photos of my pets/people!. However, I can never sketch anything that looks life-like!. Any tips on painting a photo!? Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The easiest way is to draw a grid on your photo and transfer the grid to your canvas!. Make the drawing on your canvas surface using the grid on your photo!. It is ok to lightly sketch on your canvas with pencil or charcoal(you can erase the lines after the paint dries!. The above answer is the cheapest way but the best way is to take your photo to your local copy shop and blow it up to the correct size!. Buy some transfer paper and transfer it directly onto your canvas!. The proportion is perfect!. The grid method is great too but more time consuming!. Kinkos charges about !.75 cents per square foot for the big copies and the transfer paper can be a little pricey!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
