The outside shots are great, a bit too bright but a lil editing can fix that!. If you dont have photoshop there are a few websites you can use to edit, one I like is www!.picnik!.com and its free!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You're lucky to have a dog that will pose!. The biggest issue I see is lighting!. It looks like you're taking pictures with an on-camera flash!. This usually isn't bright enough to light up your subject, and even if so, it doesn't do it evenly!.

Try one of several things:
(1) bounce the flash off the ceiling to get it more spread out!.
(2) use additional slave flashes
(3) take pictures outdoors on a sunny day (easiest)

You'll be surprised at what better lighting will do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cute dog
The pics are ok!.
I don't know what you were trying to achieve though!. They are great snapshots, other than the fact that the dog kinda blends in with the couch and I am not a fan of the flash!. If you were going for more than a snapshot then you probably need to work a little more!. Try a more natural setting, better light and composition!.!.!. get down on his level!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pets and children should always (well, almost always) be photographed at their level!.

It is better to pose your subject against a contrasting background!. A black dog on a black chair or whatever he's on usually results in a lack of detail in the dog's coat!.

bad lighting and angle!.
try to get on his level to take the pictures, and get him off of the black couch because he is a black dog and blends in!.
you have to take all these things into consideration: good background, lighting, angle are something i think are easy to achieve with a little planning!.

Good looking dog! And your technique looks good, but your background is too dark to distinguish the dog from the couch!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
