However, I think you could do a lot better by thinking about!.!.!. 1!. Contrast: think about how you can make which colors stand out more than another!. 2!. Shade/Light: Some of the pictures you had there were either too faded/bright or too dark!. So perhaps, you could choose a 'right' angle or the right darkness/brightness that will help naturally 'enhance' the quality of your photograph!. 3!. Angle: this is important!. How do you want your photograph to look like!? From the bottom to up!? From the left!? Right!? Why would you choose this particular angle!? 4!. Concept: This probably is the most important out of all four listed here!.!.!.What is your concept behind taking pictures of the flowers and plants!? To show the beauty of it!? Or any hidden meanings behind!? It is always best to have an idea or a goal of why you are taking a particular picture of a subject to show the best quality of it!. Other than these!.!.!.!.you're doing pretty good :) Try to expand your area and move out of flowers later when you feel you've done enough of taking pictures of the flowers :D It may be personal, but I find flowers a bit clieche-like!.!.!.but that might be just me :) Keep it upWww@QuestionHome@Com I too am a amateur photographer and still learning the tricks of the trade!. Most of them are blown out from the sun!. The focus is a bit soft on some photos!. also on page 2 the background is distracting in the first 4 shots!. To avoid blown out images from the sun, try taking the shots in the morning or evening!. As for the soft focus, I see you are using Olympus FE-120 X700!. So the only thing I know of to correct the soft focus is to back up a little bit more or don't zoom in so close!. You can always crop the photo to your liking!. Try to be aware of what is in your background!. Please do not take this the wrong way!. I am just trying to help improve your images!. I do like your series of shots and you are on the right track!. Just keep on shooting!. You need to try to be more aware of shadows!. Especially your own shadow and what it can do to the picture!.
