Question: Buying A Camera!.!.!.HELP!?

I'm going to buy a new camera the Canon Digital Rebel XT http://www!.usa!.canon!.com/consumer/contro!.!.!.
What canon lense should I buy and Is the rebel xt a good camera to buy!?

Since you are obviously a beginner, start with the 18-55 mm lens!. It will cover medium wide angle shots out to medium telephoto (portrait)!. Once you have mastered using that lens and camera, you will know which lenses you may want to buy next depending upon the type subjects you like to shoot!.

The Rebel XT is a rather old camera introduced in February 2005 and I am surprised a lens is not included!.

I've got this camera and i had an 18- 55 lens to go with it, that pretty much does what a normal digital camera does, i've also got a zoom lens which is pretty fab too, I use both equally!. but i'd say get a kit instead of just buying the camera and then a lens separate, it might work out cheaper, look into it!.
