Question: Can you rate my drawing and tell me how I can get better !?

I drew riley from the boondocks im in a art class but now but what else can I do to get better and what are my mistakes in this drawing and how can I get better at them

First off isn't the boondocks a cool show !

anyways yeah your pic is bad its a nice attempt but yeah bad !. See with drawing you need to visualize body proportions !. I think your trouble is body proportions !. Look at rileys shoulders ,, he doesnt have any !!!!!!!!!! Look at rileys hips ,,he doesnt have any !!!! Remember just bc its a cartoon doesn't mean they dont have human features !. So look down at your own body notice the structure and then look at riley you will see how it doesn't look right !. also his face is messed up make sure its equal to the other side !. I did like the way you drew his sneakers !. Just add more details shading work on his eyes and body proportions an it will come out better !.
Seriously its not bad man the first stuff i drew came out looking like crap but i practiced and now i am in art school !. Keep working bud hope i didnt discourage you ,,,

ok, this needs a bit of work!.

The first thing you should do is look at proportions!.

Dont draw all at once, draw layers!.

First layer: quick draft, use ovals to create the shape of your character, use circles to represent joints!. Draw from the feet upwards to give the character a 'grounded' appearance (ie not floating in the air)!.

Second layer: redraft, tighten the lines, perfect the ratios between joints and body parts!.

Third layer: Details such as fingers, toes, crease lines, eyes, mouth, nose, ears!.

Fourth layer: more details, hair!.

Fifth: shading, tighten lines!.

Sixth: minor refinements!.

i think its pretty good!. i didnt know who Riley was but i googled it haha and the only thing i have to say is the shoulders a little low, the eyebrows are a little thin, and the face is a little wide!. but other that those things its relle goodWww@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps work on shading and the symmetrical aspects of his body parts!. also for the more cartoony pictures why not true using a darker black pen as the outline to give it more of a cartoon effect!. Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

YOU SHOW CHARACTER IN YOUR DRAWING--ITS OKAY!. REMEMBER WHERE THE LIGHT IS COMING FROM AND PRACTICE YOUR SHADING TO REFLECT THAT!. TRY GETTING SOME SKETCH PAPER!.!.!.YOUR DRAWINGS WILL LOOK LOTS NICER ON BLANK PAPER WITHOUT THE LINES!.
